Muzzled clowns parade towards
The shadowy circus tent
While just yards away
The sweet spring light
Beats down on my skin

The ground swirls like a whirlpool
Pulling me towards the tent

The death of free speech,
the death of religion,
the death of all there is to die for

Elephants and donkeys trample children underfoot
As the glaucomic audience cheers in unison

“Peace! Peace!” the ringmaster shouts
As his braided whip cracks like thunder
And Satan smiles with delight
