Here I shall stand,
Underneath the blooming Wisteria.
Roots run deep through the Earth
As the pendulous racemes scatter their lavender petals.

On the Eve of the Spring Equinox,
You began to bloom as well.

Together tied with the tendrils of Jasmine vine,
Clutching ever so tightly with an intoxicating fragrance
And the bittersweet purity of the Lily of the Valley.

Yet like the Morning Glory,
You soon left with the gleaming luminosity
Through the passage of time.
For my roots run deeper than yours
And my branches spread far into the looming sky.

And so,
Underneath the blooming Wisteria,
Here I shall stand.
