The Glory of Trees

The trees are losing their many leaves,
Likened to wearing a dress without sleeves.
The branches are started to lower their arms;
They are losing a bit of their everyday charm.
Soon they will be swaying and more leaves will fall;
They will listen to the wind and hear winter’s call.
When the snow begins to fall, they will not be sad,
In Spring they are dressed again and will be glad.
Please do not fret the tree’s loss of leaves,
They are not saddened, nor do they grieve.
It is all part of the wonderful nature story;
The tree knows its place and knows its own glory.
